MÓR Sound is the brainchild of Sound Engineer Mairéad O'Reilly.

 

With a  background in Live Sound Engineering she formed her own sound reinforcement company and worked freelance for 20 years. Her specialization has been engineering high quality sound for acoustic music. She has provided sound reinforcement for National and International concerts, festivals & tours.

 

The BBC and RTE regularly contracted Mairéad to provide live audio feeds for their outside broadcasts. She has also engineered live events for major recording artistes like  Altan, John Martyn and Townes Van Zandt among others.

 

In 2008 Mairéad moved to Wales and began full-time lecturing on Sound Technology at the University of South Wales. While working in education she was also an External Examiner for the School of Sound Recording in Manchester. She has been actively involved in eLearning and currently delivers Master Classes in Audio to final year Film Students at Dublin Institute of Technology.

 

Mairéad holds a Masters Degree in Digital Media Technologies from DIT where she majored in Audio. She also holds a Degree in Electronic Engineering from Cork Institute of Technology. She is an AVID Certified Trainer in ProTools the industry standard recording software. She's also a member of the Audio Engineering Society.

 

2016 sees Mairéad merge her wide experience in audio and launch 'MÓR Sound', a dedicated Voice Over & Post Production Studio in Dublin.
